The RTX 3050 is an 8GB GDDR6 card on a 128-bit bus with 2,560 CUDA cores, dedicated RT cores, and DLSS 2 support. Same VRAM, same bus width, similar price tier — but very different performance levels and priorities.
In rasterized gaming, the RX 6600 wins comfortably — typically 20–30% faster than the RTX 3050 at 1080p and 1440p. AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture simply has more gaming throughput at this tier, and the 3050 was never a strong raster card. At 1440p the gap holds, though both cards start to struggle in modern AAA titles at high settings.
