Start the Server Manager, click File and Storage Services, then Shares, right-click a share and select Properties.

Click Customize permissions

Click Add

Click Select a principal

Enter the object name, click Check Names, select the object you want and then click OK.

On Type, select Allow or Deny

On Applies to select which subfolders and files should inherit the permissions

Select which permissions you want to assign and then OK

Click OK to close the Properties

If you want to assign advanced permissions then follow the same procedure and in the Permission Entry dialog click Show Advanced Permissions.
