Windows Server 2016 – Create a cluster

Before you create a cluster you have to read this post. All the nodes also must have installed the Failover Clustering Feature. If you want to install the feature read this post.

Open Failover Cluster Manager.

At the Actions Panel click Create Cluster. Click Next.

Enter every node’s name or click Browse to find them.

Next, choose if you want to run configuration validation tests before creating the cluster. I chose the 2nd option. Click Next.

Specify the Cluster’s name. Click Next two times.

And cluster is configured.

Click Finish to continue. Now you can see the cluster.

With PowerShell you type:

new-cluster -name mySecondCluster -node srv-1

To remove a cluster with PowerShell just type:

remove-cluster mySecondCluster
