When you click the application on the taskbar, the application will be minimized (hidden from the desktop) or maximized (appears on the desktop). Notice that the application will not be closed!

You can close an application from the taskbar. Right-click the application on the taskbar and click Close

You have 3 options:

  • Always hide labels – It will show only the icon of open application and will group the open applications if are the same
  • When the taskbar if full – It does the same as the above option but only when taskbar is full of applications
  • Never – It shows the name and the icon of the open application. Same open applications will not be grouped.
