If you haven’t
Start Thunderbird. You will see the following screen when it is the first time. Specify your name, your email address and password. Click Continue
Select IMAP(you have the emails to the email server and you can access them from other devices) or POP3(download the emails to your computer, they will not be accessible from other devices) I prefer IMAP. Select Done
A log in page for your google account will appear. Enter your email and click Next. Now the same with the password
Your email has been configured.
If it is not the first time you run Thunderbird, then press Alt so the Menu bar appear, click Tools and then Account Settings
At the pop up window that will appear at the bottom click Account Actions and then Add Mail Account.
Now you will see the window Set up an existing Email account
